“We had a great afternoon on a picnic boat that we hired from Martham ferry boatyard. The boat was well equipped with a galley kitchen and a toilet.
The roof could be slid back on sunny days and there was plenty of seating area.
The staff were lovely and very helpful and the whole experience was well worth the money. Our grandson was over the moon to be able help “drive” the boat.

“Beagle ahoy! We took out a self-drive motor boat on The Broads on Friday (birthday treat for my sister) - wonderful time had by all.

Poppy Tallulah Beagle was a star! If you’re looking for something to do with your Pooch, I can highly recommend Martham Ferry Boatyard. The owners, Nick & Alison, and worker Rob, are all fabulously friendly & super helpful. Full instructions given & life jackets provided........even for the hound ⚓️

“Did a half-day in one of the Rocket boats with five small dogs. Thoroughly enjoyed driving the boat, it was very quiet, had a little hob, kettle, and toilet, dogs were kitted out with life jackets and so much wildlife to see. Really friendly staff, and great communication, highly recommend them.”
