All our picnic boats are fitted with a toilet, which makes things much easier for the elderly or the very young. The toilets are fitted with an electric flush system.
If you decide that you do not want the extra expense of a picnic boat, there are public toilets at Horsey Dyke, Hickling Broad, and Potter Heigham and we have a public toilet at Martham Ferry Boat Yard.
What is the difference between a picnic boat and a day boat?
Picnic boats are equipped with a hard cover or sliding roofs to provide shade and protect passengers from rain. They have basic cooking facilities, a kettle, and an electric hob that can be added to your boat on request. They are also fitted with a sink and running water, making it easier for passengers to clean up after their picnic, and they have a convenient toilet.
Crockery and Cutlery: Picnic boats come equipped with plates, cups, utensils, and other necessary crockery and cutlery for picnicking.
Day boats do not have toilets or cooking facilities, the canopy lifts up and over from the back of the boat.
